Galchenyuk Crashes Car After Celebrating New Contract

Son of Former NHL Star Suffers Minor Injuries

Galchenyuk was reportedly celebrating his latest contract when he crashed his car.

Galchenyuk, 22, was driving a 2017 BMW X6 when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Galchenyuk's father, Alexander, is a distinguished figure in the world of ice hockey. He played hockey in both the Soviet Union and Belarus.

Galchenyuk's mother is from Russia. She played hockey in Russia and Belarus.

Galchenyuk was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He played for the Canadiens for five seasons before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes in 2018.

Galchenyuk has represented Belarus at the international level. He played for Belarus at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.

Galchenyuk is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.
